Ai movie - Beauty and Beast

         I was waiting for watching shankar's movie in my native language and its an agmark Shankar's artwork "Ai". In fact movie name attracted me a lot ,as its a pick from literature Tamil which signifies beauty.
       Technicalities with tint of science,vibrant colors,untouched locations with authentic model Amy Jackson ,multifacets of Vikram with perfectly blending BGM made me to refill the popcorn and to say " ahaa".
       Storyline is predictable,where the writer has used both sides of a coin beauty and its opposite further blown up to the extent how sensitive it is irrespective of any being.Vickram has reflected flawlessly on those emotions.Slang switches are so gentle and sandhanam,our comedian splashed his fun across.
         Movie is lengthy without enough speed for 3 hours apart from that craftsmanship of Shankar is reflecting all throughout the movie.Its a good watch.

Interstellar - wisemen knows dark is right

I watch Nolan's movie for Jonathan's electrifying script.Batted my semester exam through out the weekend and celebrated Sunday with Interstellar.Smashing reviews flooding all over sites ,so nothing much to talk about screenplay ,direction and production but movie can be shrunk as it spills around 3 hours.I enjoyed dad-daughter chemistry which made me to shed few tears .Mathew has lived as an ageless being throughout the movie as the plot needs and his carefree witty dialogues added spice.Anne Hathway acted with traits of perfect Doctor with realistic flaws justifying Murphy's law.
   If you are science fiction lover,there is lot to know from wormhole to other galaxies, interiors of black hole,few examples for relativity theory ,five dimension et all.
   Breath touching scenes and I loved daughter's name Murph with its explanation " what can happen will happen" and newton's third law restated as "there is always something to leave behind".
 Every character has done their best and I agree wise men knows dark is right.Worth a watch in big screen.

Mary Kom Movie for a gentle push

Mary kom movie is the last unvisited movie in my laptop as of now, hence went in a jet speed with fast forwards after a mediocre lunch.I felt this movie as like any other A to Z fighter types  Bhaag milka Bhaag,Chak De India.Similar  storyline where survival of fittest works. A poor girl from small hill town traces her interest,ran behind it and how she stays with it is the crux.Priyanka chopra has done a good job capturing local slang to rigorous shots ditto as an athelet. I really admire mentor-mentee relationship,which has come so well in this movie too.Sunil Thapa  has lived as coach throughout the movie .Craftmanship has come out incredibly well.Thin but stronger line of love and emotions has come out  well too.Songs of all genre,real life story with philosophicals here and there makes everyone to say worth for a watch at the end.Though there were many other characters to narrate about,I found impact out of Mery Kom and her coach.

I have become a movie buff again,bunking mid semester exam for a sake of movie.Here goes collection of movie reviews
Sigaram dhodu:
 Had a good watch with my M.S folks after bunking mid semester exam.Its a pleasure to watch movie in my native language,where local jokes can be felt as it is.storyline is good with vikram Prabhu as hero.Again a thriller movie from his side ,this time dived deeper into ATM robbery.loving thrillers all the way,as it gives puzzles for my brain.Neverthe less,songs are not promising but enjoyed trekking spots pictured.One time watch with  pals.
Finding Fanny:
From my perspective, movie has nothing in it..I expected much similar storyline of Letters to Juliet movie but as a whole,its a big mess.As I am hardcore fan of Deepika ,I thought of watching it in bigscreen but thanks to my room mate ,who brought movie to my lap.Literally bored of with dull music ,monotonous scenes and nothing more than so called term love and lust.Never I recommend anyone to watch,not even a try

Jigardhanda:
      Its one such good movie again in my native language and movie revolves in and around Madurai.So much connected as I am after all maduraivasi.It has a good storyline with lot of for loops.Director Karthik has done a clean literature survey of Madurai from local dhadhas to kodhu parotta,from sourashtra clan to sundaram sarees.Serious scenes are diluted with comic sense. Director is inspired by Tarantino's style and it's clearly visible in most of scenes,good try .Limited philosophies,lot of actions inplace of words .As a whole nice watch for Saturday noon.

Arima Nambi

Quite after a long time watched Tamil thriller movie "Arima Nambi".Handful of thrillers with ancient tamil name nowadays and now it's arima, "Man with the power of lion".Happily enjoyed anand shankar's stream of consciousness technique through out the movie.Heroine has nothing much to do apart from her native sentiments .Hero vikram Babu has done justice,not less not more with his acting style.Movie is so fast which any thriller demands.
Expected opening scenes where people like me easily bored of but then director tied with lot of twist and turns in upcoming scenes.Found lot of shades from Davinci scenes, National treasure and so on.good try in Tamil cinema with its own if's and but's.
Thanking my friend for suggesting a better movie to forget my sickly day.Its a good watch for any thriller lovers.

2 states

This is the movie which I dont want to watch as it has its own reason,but I did.It took some energy out of me as it made me to dust the past.What looked so interesting during college days ,is so different now.Its a good watch.I was able to remember all the characters which I read before 4 years.Nothing less,nothing more when I compare with book.But hero Arjun Kapoor looks like a dumb at times,and shrewd at other.Heroine Alia Bhatt looks so cute,who was not able to do justice to the character Ananya.Typical entertainment movie with full vibrant colours and  music.Revathy ,Ananya's mother has done a good job as typical tamil-Brahmin amma.As a whole I enjoyed the movie ,though it has its own ifs and but... 3 cheers to screenplay

Hasse too phasse- chill pill

After couple of months grilled with lot of commitments,got some time with "Hasse too Phasse" movie,even without bath .This is one movie which I was really behind it,and this movie didn't cheat me with my expectation.Parineeti took the show  with her energetic character meeta.There is a story,there is fun which creates pain in your stomach,Hero is handsome,girl has splashed colours everywhere with her tomboy attitude.Meeta's rolling eyes,hyper activeness creates big time fear for Siddharth Malhotra ,finally screwing his marriage
 In nutshell ,whole movie was like connecting dots missed before some years.Chemisty in H20,flying bowlers,gulping tooth-paste ,anti-depression pills as a substitute for wrath,smile and tears makes people to raise their eye-brows.
Finally to say ,this movie made me as a fan for "Parineeti" and "I like Dandia" in air.

endrendrum punnagai

Yaaay....Watched all of a sudden "Endrendrum Punnagai" to come out of Monday blues.As Iam hardcore fan of  comedian "Sandhaanam" sharply hit the cinema hall by 6:30 P.M for 7 clock movie. Running comedy track is splashed all over the movie.I had the same jump ,which I had before 12 years ago while watching "lollu Sabha".Man of cute smile ,Jeeva and  tall man vinay made a good job where I saw a beautiful chemistry in the screen,though its manmade,artificial one.Cute and plain friendship between 3 friends from the standard first without a formal term sorry,thanks,please .A simple story where they used the technique of stream of consciousness in few places,which would be bit tricky to use in simple storyline .our slim sharp nosed Trisha,didn't have much to do except appearing like a moral science teacher ,who can alone tame the shrew.Her lecture about "love" is not in  reality at all,and the director wants to purposely show the blowup given for the plain four letter word given by most of the population .In person I liked hero's characterization as somewhere I found some convergence with mine.Its a one time watch amidst your office work ,At the end of the movie ,I liked me myself again after enjoying the whole movie with rolling laughter.

PS:And I give 3 stars out of 5

Taxi Driver

Taxi Driver - After a long long time ,blocked all my routine work and went back to the usual state of killing time by watching movies .This time its "Taxi Driver" .More than the movie, I preferred  "Walking contradiction" album which the hero speaks about .Those lyrics are quietly brilliant .I was not having patience to finish with the movie as its nothing more than the usual,loneliness follows the hero,which he could have taken as a good sign .Lotmore I can do If Iam all alone.Then he searches for an angel,who became a known devil from an unknown angel,which is usual in anyone's way.He cribs his way which he could have eliminated by shifting to a convincing place though its a myth.All of a sudden he becomes a rebel trying to save a single prostitute who loves her job to the core .At one point I started to think what this guy is trying to do with his loneliness.In nutshell to say ,I felt good with the dialogues ,well-received from my end.He was literally sitting in a drainage and preaching those ringworms to find shelter in Himalayas. The hero is "Robert De Nero" who has nothing else to do with his loneliness  except cleaning  the flithy city.My suggestion is he could have become a poet if he could have made a ride to Thames River with his same Taxi .

Bhaag Milka Bhaag-lived a life

        Farhan Akdhar hidden somewhere in the corner of Milka singh's body,that's what I saw in the screen ..A full bow for Farhan for toning and training his body and soul as a whole, exclusively for "BHAAG MILKA BHAAG".We ran for the movie in full hurry  once we completed the test all the way to Peenya Theatre.
          The very first thing is Iam so comfortable with my alien national language hindi  ,brought an ease to feel the movie without botheration of language.Movie stringed many subtle stuff in a beautiful way.Omprakash ,the director had done a great homework with Farhan,for reaping the best out of him.Though Sonam had done a minimal part but her smile stands like refreshing rose in the mind of hero and spectators.Movie made me to get connected in many places which triggered my pain points easily, nevertheless carrying sportsmanship in all aspects  makes a man or woman so vibrant is my take away.Movie has touched all the reactions and emotions of a being from anger,wrath,feel for freedom,love,loss,lust,victory,failure,some deeply carved loss ,fear of a place and so so on.Certain powerful words like "ma" deeply echoed into my mind.Its one such movie where all the transformations are seen by most of the gentleman and woman dwelling in corporate sector hailed from deeper soil of India.The most touching scene is the climax shot where  kid Milka and athlete Milka shared their beautiful smile,a wonderful handshake with the past from the present.As a whole its a good watch for an evening to make me free from classroom sessions.

Jawaani hei Deewani

Well already fell for this movie listening to the sufi music "Kabira" with scintillating lyrics.Without any prediction and reviews went for the movie mainly for the smile of Deepika and tak tak dance performance by Ranbir.As I expected its a movie on known subject "Romance" , without giving anywork for my brain.Obviously not the typical masala type bollywood movie.As a whole its a visual carnival feeding all the senses.Different genres of music made me to give slight movements and tip tap till the end.
 The story goes in this way,the scholarly girl fell in love for the guy who loves his dream of travelling more than anything.Heroine love goes for a toss in air.I loved the part where there is no usage of phone to develop their so called love.Love can be a feel for a being at any instant,which is not needed to be showcased in artificial methods.Beautifully captured the instance of love in expressions more than words.Loved those subtle expressions.
After 8 years,is this yippie traveller ready to take a stand for this simple desi girl is the end of the story.Really loved the hero's character name "KABIR" which is so poetic.As a whole spectators doesn't want to sit at the edge of the seat and bite nails,happily we can rest our shoulders with a drink.

3 whistles for Jawaani hei Deewani...........

An anomaly of 1996 movielist-Gokulathil seethai

I was about to start with my Schindler's list ,bit out of my serious mood hence sat with this 1996 series "Gokulathil Seethai" overusing the bandwidth of Wifi around mid 12.Title sounds bit out of track from our epic,arises the question how it would sound when seetha lives in Gokulam.Iam swept of by the girl's character,she is an quite interesting girl who has baselined her own protocols ,places where anger would eject out for a typical  Indian girl remains empty and viceversa.A generic tamil story but twisted in its own turns.
 She gets clinged between two guys ,an inferiorthought  filled man Mohan  and a guy out of box who ask where can we buy culture.This Rishi is a level headed guy except without the deep intro of "culture" which is never been bad but matters a lot for native people.His hereditary money flew as cigarette smoke,gushing beer,ofcourse girls to use.By the by,both guys are childhoodie friends and Mohan works in Rishi's company.In this context.heroine Nila comes into picture where she clean bowled the auditorium by her artistic song (actually its nothing great to say from my view) along with these two guys.
    Mohan asusual a native thinker wants to be get her as Mrs.Mohan whereas Rishi wants to use her for one night stand.When both guys approaches her in different early style nuances ,she is harder for both but bit easier for mohan .
As usual as like native movies.she comes out of her marriage hall for the sake of Mohan, a man who has no nerve of his own.Rishi helped him in his half baked mission,landed up in ditching her all alone.Then our level headed man treats her as a guest - a penality for the mislead.She gets attracted by his deeds apart from the shell of culture.He prooved his gentlemanship in the second half in full swing.
 Finally she marries Rishi wh o is completely swept off by her mettled approach.There is nothing great in this movie to speak about,but it slightly changed the stitching of Tamil Movies.A girl who is ready to marry a guy who used many other girls.Its really a good verdict.A gooood watch after missing middle aged movies in Tamil.

What's in your bucketlist ?

               If Iam not wrong ,Bucket list is  a movie in 2008 series but in the same way as its "addicted" season towards novel biased movies ,it hits my list.Its a soothing movie after a good lunch without turns and twist.Its plaintive in narration,portraying how two  ill old hags contrast in thought process add facevalue to their count down days. Hence the synonym goes as "The Bucket list" list before kicking off the bucket,swinging back to my standard 4  idioms.
             Morgan Freeman has all bonds of life,except money who aspired to become a history professor,but destiny belled him to become a "Mechanic".Nevertheless,tagged as mechanic for society,his acumen is always binded with uptodate history.A typical family man where rules are always rules without breaching at any cost.
         Here comes our fun loving Jack Nicholson for whom age is a factor coined by human,who can be correlated with teens of this era.Very realistic in his eyes as well as in my eyes too.He lives in the luxury of wealth and nothing more than wealth in all corners.Its in hospital where they met as patients sharing the same room,where Morgan comes to know later, Jack -the person who owns the hospital.
      Some feel gets created between both chaps ,meanwhile  morgan jots down his interesting bucket list which comes to the view point of Nicholson.As he has money,added up fuel to the fire.Bucket list comes to ignition.Morgan's voice adds richness to dialogues thrown."If reincarnation is the outcome of living in this life,how snalis reincarnated who does nothing" ."I love him and I miss him","He is not everyone but everyone is everyone" ,Morgan's historical talk made this movie still more artistic.
   At the end burried up above the mountain and given a poetic touch to the movie as a whole.Its a definite one time watch movie when u dont have any other interesting one in your list to do.

Blood Diamond - Survival of the fittest

        Still Iam writing about movies ,though I got kind advise from my friend to suspend movie reviews for sometime  and to resume with book reviews,cant help it "Iam addicted again".A movie which Iam wishing for it long  time "I should have watched".Finally happened this weekend.Such a mindblowing concept which ought to be watched.A sensitive story line weaved fantastically with people who can live one more life in the screen.
       As I have already shared,Iam one more fan of "Leonardo" I had a wish to finish all his movies hence I landed up with Blood Diamond.Dialogues are thrown in such a way,making a spectator to think about it in depth one more time.Africa,is rotated in all scales.A continent raped for its resources.Demand,supply concept fueling indirectly for its war ,modern imperialism,ticket for survival,loss of intangible things for the hardest survival,multi facets are pictured as solid it can be.
      Leonardo's 'huh" accent and actions penetrate the movie throughout.Jennifer Connelly,made justice for being a journalist .Hounsou ,took tremendous effort to show the feel behind black skin.I love those lines "people are just people".Its a n time watch movie,nevertheless definitely one time watch needed .

Nothing odd than seven

              Title for this post might sound wierd,but Iam forced by my mind to tag this post with such a title.This movie made me not to come out of the climax for atleast ten more  minutes even after movie got over .As Iam a dialogue freek,Iam engrossed with the climax  line "If u shoot him,he will win".A complete American crime thriller,where couple of detectives, man of perseavearnce "Morgan FreeMan" -A person supposed to be made for proper synonym of being a detective and girls hero "Brad Pitt" -short tempered chap made a good combo like Butter and jam.
          With so many clues left tagged by the serial killer "David Joe" in his consecutive "five" odd homicides,our two detectives were so swift to hold his neck before his last target of two.All crime been weaven over "7 deadly sins" -"glutony,sloth,pride,lust,greed,envy,wrath.The last two shooked spectators chair with complete nail bite.Brilliantly said by the narrator "Walker" and kudos for the director "David Fincher" for making my nail wet.:) Perfect watch.
        

Beautiful Mind- "Living with real and unreal facts"

     Its the boring night we predicted it to be as all our pals flew to their nest  for a chill out and the left is me and one other friend.We thought of starting  with serendipity but as the subtitles which are very much essential to feel the script inch by inch, was not in sync,we finally landed up with "A Beautiful Mind".
   Its such a clean movie where we start guessing with the experience in "shatter Island" ,but all our guess were left untwined and the director made us to believe the climax which he drew,the real life of Noble Laureate John Nash.
The plot speaks about a strange psychological disease suffered by the prodigy "John Nash" casting by Russell Crowe,nothing there is left to comment over bigshot.Alicia , female casting by "Jennifer Connolley" made  spectators to stare her like a frozen doll.Till the end ,the pair made people to solve the mysterious equations of love.A clean Hollywood movie where love is defined as love till the end,not as lust.How a prodigy marks a thin line between paranoids,hallucinations,imaginations and reality is the next half story.
         Dialogues thrown at the climax where mindblowing.Its a definite good watch for  people who wanna add spice for friday night as like me left out with empty room and a pathetic pal.

bharfi-Lived a life in screen

           A movie where I saw "munram pirai life"(tamil movie casting by sridevi and KamalHassan)  again in Bollywood.Inspite of being an Indian,Bharfi is the second Bollywood movie which I stared at theatre,as language penetrates as an obstacle.If I stand out of my own taste of movie pitch,its a life lived in the screen where Ranbir casted as "Bharfi" did overwhelming performance as a physically challenged but with mindstunning common sense.Priyanka casted as "Jhilmil" gave sharp pitch of life to autism with her gleeful smile wherever its possible.The sharp tone of priyanka in calling "Bharfi" remains as like souvenir to the movie.
                Iliana D' Souza is again a starving puppy ,thiny ,winny,skinny and she looks pleasant at places where shots are taken to outline it and to show "she is gorgeous".The plot is simple where asusual " love at first sight just fails" and it gets it perk in the second chance where Ranbir finally goes with his childhood friend ,autistic Jhilmil.The synce between two different physical challengers
brought a magic and spark to their life.Too much use of stream of conciousness technique which makes people out of glue from their seat.
          "Love-Live together,die together" is the start and the end ,as a whole there is no small spark of doubt in bagging upcoming awards for bharfi.Actions spoke more than words as a whole.

Oru kal ORu kannadi-Cheers for sandhanam

                    
  Its the movie which shaked my friends room last night with rolling laughter ,one and only out of Sandhanam who bags all the claps.As its a movie in my mother tongue-A complete comedy Tamil movie,my couple of friends those pathetic souls got slaps after slaps ,by-product out of laughter.Its the first midnight show ,we spinsters watched with thuts,claps,and all the pranky things in the world.
                   Though I have watched handful number of comical movies by M.Rajesh,this movie hits the top in the list as we are completely  bowled out of exclusive Sandhanam-the "Kalakal" comedian's track.If a person wanna get story out of it,its really a nightmare as this movie lives only on "Laughter,Laughter,Laughter".
                   Heroine Hansika remains as plumpy as she is,hero Udhayanidhi Stalin looks too much pissed of with dance and they both made a fun-creating couple together like a Pumpkin coupled up with Drumstick.A simple so called love story of these generation where joy spills out by timing punch.Both did a job for a movie which needs hero and heroine to just fill the space of those characters.
                 On the whole its a n-time watch movie where all laureals are deserved by Sandhanam and his girlfriend "Jangry".On the whole its a theeeeen addaaaaaaaaaa(local term can be understood if and only if we watch).

Shutter Island

                                             Its been couple of months back I got the chance to watch "Shutter Island " not for the script or screenplay but one and only for the casting "Leonardo Di Caprio".My inner voice says not even to write single 'a' about it ,as it would create "loss of memory".But its my time to pour the feelings when I watched it,hence I started to blog.Its such a strange movie for me where evenafter movie got over ,I couldnt get any clue about it.Its for this shutter Island I ringed up my friend who watched it ,the before night along with the help of wikipedia.
                                              If we sail with Leonardo "Teddy" we will land up somewhere like me,as he is a lunatic.Too much use of "Stream of consciousness" hence all our thoughts what movie created will hang in the air unable to connect  with one another.From my court ,its an over-rated movie.
                                              There is nothing to haunt me in this movie,but I feel like it.King Bensley as Dr.Cawley rocked his show not like a doctor but like a dictator.Our hero who is actually a lunatic,lives in the hallucination of being Marshal.Hence viewers spectation is really pathetic.
                                              In a nutshell I got the feel of being in lunatic asylum in that strange shutterland where many questions left unanswered! 

The Prestige

                                                     
                            I gotta  time to make an attempt in reviewing the movie "The Prestige".In one word to say its "Beyond the scope of reviews and letters".I can use many more adjectives from thesaurus and oxford dictionary but the picture by itself done its job "Picture speaks more than words".So my attempt in review is for my plain satisfaction.
                             A big shot movie where Christopher Nolan done fantabulous direction ,writer Jonathan Nolan made groundbreaking witty script.Christian Bale gave real life to it.Its not an ultimate thriller,but a good thriller where I bit my nail till the climax.As a whole ,movie is a feast for my eyes and eardrums.I found really a difficult situation in bringing a sync between eyeballs and eardrums whether to watch or to follow the subtitle for script.Its a tug of war between movement and words.
                               Overall movie speaks about many lessons in the name of illusion,but Iam bowled out by "OBSESSION IS YOUNG MAN'S GAME". Its more than a good watch.
