joyful swim

I learnt a little swimming on women's day.The joy of swimming is something incredible. There are few activities which I thought I would never able to experiment in my lifetime because of few phobias in me,but now traveling in the way to prove phobias are manmade myth. Thanks to my bestie who taught me joyful swimming in chlorinated water at amusement park, instead of enjoying plain rides.Doing something new always makes you feel alive with fresh blood.

eyesome women's day

Women's day celebration is on full swing at my office with lot of lightning talk, fitness sessions and much more fun activities for white collared women. There was one program for supporting female staffs and nice to see such programs bringing inclusiveness and appreciating Few people's sensitive work which we tend to forget after using tidy washrooms, clean workspace at office.Token of thanks, small salutations for comrades at any cadre not only makes workplace a better ecospace but also splashes days with joy of healthy working

The Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri

Had a good pace in completing "The Lowland" by Jhumpa Lahiri in a week's time.Jhumpa made me to walk in the lowlands of Bengal ,Bay area of Rhode's island, streets of california with mild tears in the corner of my eyes.I can't say I enjoyed the read as the storyline is quite  absorbing with promising realities.
Story is about fear of facing realities and most of the characters jump out of the scene wherever they could not standby with their own situational excuses, let it be Gauri,Bella or subash.Gauri character is as hard as wood and I can find a self Centered heroine who can casually ditch her biological child with lame excuses.Bella,Gauri's daughter undergoes a trauma in facing the heat once she is left alone in the hands of her so called dad Subash.words, plot are carefully chosen to make the flow so fluid which can connect every reader to their own piece of past.
Worth a good read, but colours could have been added for few characters who carries pain till the burial ground.A book of solitude, noisy silence and unexpected realities
Without a blanket of excuses.

PS: Thanks Chirax for presenting it and I went deeper than expected

child-like love

Kids are like both sides of a coin and their emotions perfectly reflects on their twinkling eyes. Its a humid feel when we spend a casual day with unadulterated affection.I had besttime with my friend's kid who each time reminds me of excitement towards Everything she gets in her hand.I love to gift her manytimes with crayons as she is an artist adding colors to black and white cartoons. The way she walks over me,jumps into my hands as soon as I step in makes me to be with the moment.I secretly admire her gushing happiness when she rubs redcrayon over mickymouse. Now Iam in the mode of playing video games as her love and hobbies are infectious.

The picture of Dorian gray

Yaay! The first book Iam reviewing after an obsessed read in 2015 " The picture of Dorian gray" by Oscar Wilde. This one book made me so much addicted to Oscar's classic. Such an intensive storyline with spontaneous flow in all ages.
The way author has given lights to the character Dorian and then shades of human life with intense grey areas as time passes by are prolific, apt metaphors with exact measurement of words which can make anyone to stir their brain.
Classics are just marvelous with their honey coated words which provides deeper meaning when we decode them in every line.
Innocent love, casual death, killer painting, youth pleasure, fear of upcoming death and bag full of regrets made this book to strong in my mind.A must read novel in the list of everglowing  classics

Eat,Pray,love

There are places to visit, people to meet and books to read as simple the say.Made a sudden trip to Isha yoga center which lies calmly under the foothills of vellangiri,Coimbatore.Welcoming squirrels, chirping honeybirds with brightly colored floras, color changing vellangiri hillview,Lingering aumkara kriya with beautiful silence  made me feel home after a years time.dhyanalinga center has world's tallest shiv ling dipped in mercury and the feel is something electrifying even when we don't try to meditate.Linga Bhairavi shrine is something interesting with female form of bhairavar and has regular rituals .Holybath at chandrakund is impressive with shiv ling in the center and copperplates tiled over the roof as an energizing mechanism.
Dead silence ,every soul practicing kriyas in their own pace at whatever space available. For me it was more of child-like sleep after a long time with few meditations ,prayers and more of nature in full amplitude with book to read.
Less of a typical temple more of an energy house with rooted understanding on hardly questioned traditional process.

wallpapers - mood easers

I have thought in college days what a big difference wallpaper can make to my gadgets. Now I know psychologically what it talks with my mind.Iam so particular in choosing wallpapers which can be a sip of tonic when I wake up with my sleep filled eyes, when I host a sensitive meeting, when I have my late night walk in pitch darkness, when Iam amidst floating traffic and when I want to see what I really want to see in me.Iam choosy in wallpapers as it has become my mood shakers and eases me in all seasons and those curved smile at odd times has become language between my gadget and me.
