Because I like

Next song in my list ,from one of the top hit of "Ilayaraja" which makes me to give a baring smile for few lines. Its in one of those middle aged tune which lives as evergreen  amidst many souls of the deep south portraying the perfect smell of motherland when this couple sits up at overseas, which I share it with pride.I have tried my best to translate it without smerging the touch which it gives in native language.Sorry native friends If I smerge it anywhere.Kudos for Ilayaraja and to ramraj(actor) to make the screen presence as colourful as it could be with colourful shirts and its lipstick match :)

Sorgamey endralum athu nam ooru pola varuma
Athu yennaadu yendralum athu nam naatukkidaa aguma
Pala thesam muluthum pesum moligal tamizh pol inithidumaa

Eng:
Any Heaven  cant give the feel of my land,
Any nation never equals mine
No language taste as sweet as Tamil

Yeri karai kaathum yelelelo paatum
Ingey yethum ketkavillaiye
Paadum kuyil sattam aadum mayil nittam
Paarka oru soallai illaiye
Vettalaiye madichu maaman athai kadichi
Tuppa oru valiyillaiye

Oadi vanthu kuthichi munggi munggi kulichi
Aade oru oadai illaiye
Ithu ooru yenna ooru nam ooru romba mel
Ade odum pala kaaru veen aadambaram paaru
Oru dhaagam theerka yethu morru

Eng:
Breeze from lake, tuned with native hum
is nowhere in air.
No trace of lush green meadows echoing
Cucukoos chirp,peacocks dance.
Native romance misses its facevalue
without the tint of  spicy bettles
No more trace of canalflow to bear a good swim
Luxury pays for hyperlife
Never to quench thirst with native drink

Maadu kannu meikka meiyirathu paarka
Mathavelli inggu illaiye
Aadum puli aatham pottu vilaiyada
Arasamaram medai illaiye
Kaalai rendu putti katta vandi otti
Ganam paade vali illaiye

Tozhigalai alaichi solli solli rasichi
Aatam pode mudiyalaiye
Oru yenthirathapola ade ingey ulla valkai
Ithu yenggey poi solla manam ishtapada villai
Nam ooru pola ooru illai

PS : Highlighted lines are lines which are still more  closer to my heart. These lines used to bring a homely feel though Iam far from soil ,which cant be explained :).
